Sarah Tew/CNET Google Assistant will finally come to the Sonos One smart speaker and Sonos Beam sound bar, which already support Amazon Alexa, making the company the first to support multiple assistants on one device. Sonos demonstrated the voice assistant on its One speaker at CES 2019 , and is in the process of rolling out firmware enabling Google’s voice system on its smart speakers in the United States today. Sonos announced multiple voice assistant support in 2017, but Sonos owners can now choose between either Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. However they won’t be able to switch between them on the fly, and will have to choose one during setup. Sonos users in Europe, Canada, and Australia will be able to download the update in July. Apple brings the iPod Touch up to date with the newest release. Apple Apple released a new iPod Touch on Tuesday, saying it makes frequently used features like FaceTime perform better. The device uses Apple’s A10 Fusion chip to boost gameplay and to offer an “immersive AR experience” for the first time on the iPod Touch, according to a statement. The AR feature work across gaming and education apps and web browsing. The device’s chip has most recently has been used in the 2018 iPad. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has imposed a restriction on the expatriates from working in 12 sectors from the next Hijri, according to Jeddah-based newspaper Saudi Gazette. Saudi labour and social development minister Ali Al-Ghafees on Monday issued a ministerial decision in this regard in an attempt to create more job opportunities for Saudi citizens.The 12 work areas banned for expats are: watch shops, optical stores, medical equipment stores, electrical and electronics shops, outlets selling car spare part, building material shops, outlets selling all types of carpets, automobile and mobike shops, shops selling home furniture and ready-made office material, sale outlets of ready-made garments, children clothes and men’s supplies, household utensils shops and pastry shops.
