first_imgKeeping true to its promise late last month, HMD Global has now added  Android 8.0 Oreo beta build for the Nokia 5 on its beta labs programme.This means that Nokia 5 owners will be able to get the latest Android 8.0 Oreo update by signing up to Nokia mobile beta labs. HMD Global’s Chief Product Offer Juho Sarvikas announced this via Twitter and added that the Android Oreo beta build for Nokia 6 will be coming soon.Sarvikas had promised last month that Android 8.0 Oreo beta support for Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 would join the company’s beta labs programme following the availability for Nokia 8 in October and official rollout for the handset last month. While the company is yet to announce a specific date for the Nokia 6, Nokia 5 users will be able to beta test the Android 8.0 Oreo by signing up to Nokia mobile beta labs by heading to opening the site, users will need to sign up with their Google account and register with their IMEI number and other details. After this Nokia 5 users will receive the Android 8.0 Oreo OTA update within 12 hours of registration.
